Corporate Social Responsibility means to Longjoin: Beside making profits and working for shareholders’ benefits, corporations also take the responsibilities for staff, consumers, communities and the environment. The responsibilities include practicing good business ethics, ensuring production safety and occupational health, protecting labour rights, environmental protection, supports and donations to charities, protecting the disadvantaged.


Corporations are responsible for the shareholders and other stakeholders. Stakeholders mean consumers, staff, suppliers, communities, civil societies and the government.


1.Child Labour

To comply with the law and regulations, recruitment policies, procedures and remedies are set up accordingly in order to avoid hiring any child labour. The company has a clear system for prohibiting child labour and the message is effectively promoted to the staff and relevant groups.


2.Obsessive Labour

The employments comply with the country’s laws and labour legislation. An employment contract is concluded between every employee and the company. It is open and protected by the law. The company has system which is against obsessive labour. Requesting employee to deposit money or identity document is highly prohibited.


3.Health and Safety

The company has a complete health and safety management system and measures. With a healthy and safe working environment and appropriate measures, the risks and potential risks are minimized. Any harm to health happening in work or related to work is avoided.


Inspections to facilities including dormitory, equipments, drinking water, etc are conducted periodically by dedicated staff who are in charge of health and safety management. Any issue found are resolved timely. All staff are trained regularly with health and safety skills.


4.The Freedom of Trade Union and the Right of Collective Bargaining

Trade Union of Longjoin was established on the 8th of March, 2012. According to the constitution and the law, employer representatives, employee representatives, trade union representatives agreed and signed up an agreement for salary payment date. The company respects the employee’s own will of participating the trade union and the right of collective bargaining. When the freedom of trade union and the right of collective bargaining is limited by the law, the company would assist the employees to apply similar methods to execute their freedom and right of organising and bargaining. The company ensures the trade union representatives are treated equally and ensures that they can access to other members.


5.Discrimination

The company has system to avoid discriminations. Any discrimination of race, social status, nationality, religion, health status, gender, sexual orientation is strictly prohibited in activities involving employment, salary, training opportunities, promotion and retirement. The company never makes any intervention to employees’ religions and customs and is at highest degree being inclusive to different races, social statuses, nationalities, religions, health statuses, genders, sexual orientations, labour union creeds and political orientations. The company does not allow any activities including actions and speeches with forcement, threat, abusement and exploitation.


6.Punishments

The company set up punishment based on the country’s law and legislation. The purpose of punishment is to remind, warn, educate and help ones who is not disciplined correct and improve. The company trains the managers how to control and manage staff without making any of corporal punishment, body contact, mental or oral abusement. The company protects employees’ rights and ensure the punishment activities are legal.


7.Working Hours

To make working duration and overtime work comply with the law and legislation and to protect employees’ benefits, the company limits the working hours per day in eight hours and ensure at least one day of rest per week. Managers can request staff to work overtime with at least one day in advance notification. Overtime work is approved based on staff’s health status and it has to ensure every staff working overtime on its own will. Staff working overtime will get paid 150% of the normal salary. Staff working on rest days will get paid 200% of the normal salary. Staff working on public holidays will get paid 300% of the normal salary.


8.Salary

Salary level is decided according to the country’s law and legislation, referencing the salary level in the same area and also based on the company’s conditions in order to be fair, encouraging employees’ performances, minimizing employee turnover, controlling salary budget. It is also essential to make the company competitive and attractive to new employees, and hence achieving the company’s strategy. The salary exceeds the minimum salary level set up by the government and fulfils employees’ basic expectations. The company does not cut down employees’ salary as any kind of punishments. The company regularly states clearly to the employees the breakdown of salary and benefits. The company deposit the salary on time every month to the employees’ bank accounts.


9.Management System

The top company management set up and ensure the execution of the company policies of social responsibilities and labour regulations meet the promises in these statements, the country’s law, any signed documents and international agreements and other promises, and promises of continuous improvement. The company effectively records, achieves, maintains and circulates these policies. The company makes these policies clear and comprehensive for all employees to consult. All employees here mean directors, top management, managers, monitors and staff whoever are employed as full-time basis, contract basis or any others. This is open to the public. Top management personels continuously and regularly audit the company policies, measures and execution in order to ensure the completeness, appropriateness and continuous effectiveness. If needed, correction should be applied. The company appoints management representatives to ensure all these and keeps all the records.
